The Hollowing out of
Sacred in Society

Justin Farr
How did we lose our sense of the sacred in our society? And how can we reclaim it? In this engaging lesson, Justin Farr reveals three key factors that eroded our connection to the sacred and offers practical steps to restore it.
INDIVIDUAL & SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
- How has the mistaken idea that science can fix all our problems helped diminish the sense of the sacred?
- Aside from abortion (prolicide) and war, what are some other examples of havoc in the world that have diminished our perception of the sacred?
- Aside from the commonly known scandals of bad priests and religious, what other examples have aided in people not seeing the Catholic Church as the custodian of the sacred?
